Description:

Lobesia is a lepidopteran about 7 mm long. It is one of the main pests of grapevines and grapes.

Generations:

It usually has three to four generations per year depending on weather conditions.

Damage:

The first generation caterpillars feed on the flower buds and the second and third generation caterpillars, which cause the most important damage, feed on the berries, causing wounds that favor the secondary entry of fungi such as Botrytis cinerea.
